Coder/Abstractor, Medical Records

Union Hospital seeks a FT Coder to interpret procedural/disease/ 

pharmacology and other diagnostic terminology and data pertaining to  

patients’ admission/stay/outpatient care.  Requires HS diploma; 2  

years of Inpatient Coding experience; coder certification; and  

demonstrated competency in IDC-9-CM and CPT coding.  CCS is also  

required.  Degree in Health Information Technology preferred.  Must  

be familiar with numeric codes/reporting per the UHDDS.

Coding Specialist

Responsible for ensuring accurate physician billing,   this FT  

position serves as the lead coding resource to educate physician  

clients and THA billing staff.

Must ensure that all annual coding updates are operationalized  

effectively within the billing department.  CPC certification required.
