Station Engineer

Reliant Energy’s Bighorn Station, located in Primm-NV, needs a  

Station Engineer to perform field inspections/measurements; ensure  

regulatory compliance; coordinate response to planned and unplanned  

outages/emergencies; coordinate site Condition Based Maintenance  

Team; monitor plant performance issues using PI/SmartSignal/Optimax;  

and ensure NERC compliance using PowerGADS.

A Bachelor’s in Engineering/related technical discipline should  

accompany  knowledge of power plant systems/ operations; applicable  

industry/RRI codes; and safety/environmental regulations. Ability to  

interpret specifications; utilize a PC/software applications to  

collect/analyze data and produce spreadsheets/databases; and perform  

economic analyses is necessary. Six years of related experience and  

extensive experience in production of design related engineering  

products, equipment/system testing, and trouble-shooting are preferred.
